An extra special, eclectic open-mic night - fully acknowledging Truth and Reconciliation Day, we are providing space for your stories and truth to pass through the microphone medium and unto the poetic masses. There are NO judges, NO scoring, NO rules, but still a 3-5 minute time limit depending on number of sign-ups. Wrapping up this evening is an absolutely stunning show from our featured poet: award-winning, veteran broadcaster and current host of CBC’s Unreserved, and co-founder of the Indigenous Writers Collective Manitoba - Rosanna Deerchild!

We got just the night for you - Winnipeg Poetry Slam presents ANOTHER Open Mic Night! This evening is ALL about YOU and US, baby! No features, just each other getting raw and vulnerable with one another.

This Open Mic is NOT themed but we welcome spooky and scary pieces all the same!!!
